Services
The A/C system cools the inside of your vehicle.
It also helps defrost the windshield by removing moisture from the inside air during the winter.
Rattling noise coming from the engine area or a hissing noise from the dashboard when the A/C or defroster is on?.
At Rocky's, we do a complete brake inspection.
If the pads are worn to the point they need to be replaced, we recommend replacing the rotors also.
We do this to make sure that your brakes are 100% and to prevent any problems from surfacing soon after the brake job is performed.
We will listen to your concerns and description of what's wrong, diagnose the root cause of the issue, and develop an estimate for the cost of the repairs.
We call you to discuss the estimate and get your approval to proceed with the work before any repairs begin.
That way, there are no unpleasant surprises when you come to pick up your vehicle.
If you like, Rocky will walk you through what he finds during vehicle diagnostics and show you what needs to be serviced or repaired.
At your request, he will save the old parts if you want to see them.
Cans of refrigerant are readily available in the auto parts stores.
We don't recommend using them.
Here's why: the A/C system has an optimum low-side pressure and a high-side pressure.
The can attaches to the low-side service port and the gauge only tells you the low-side pressure.
Meanwhile the high-side pressure is probably wrong.
You might get lucky and the system will blow cold air.
More often than not, one or both of the pressures are off.
The system might partially work, or not work at all.
