The Ferry Family started Alpine Transmission in 2006.
Operated by Len and Derak Ferry (brothers), a set of well-known mechanics in the community working for other businesses over the years.
The family opened the shop on M-32 west and in just a few short years out grew it.
They moved the business to South Otsego Ave and grew the business to be one of the number one auto repair facilities in the Gaylord area for numerous years.
In 2017, a family friend, Jason Orourke (Vanderbilt) bought the shop and changed the name to Alpine Auto Repair.
