Our owner and the most seasoned technician, Gene Helmkamp, graduated from SIUC with his Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology.
After serving in the Army Reserves, he also earned his ASE Master Technician and Advanced Technician certifications.
In 1967, Gene and his wife, Janet opened the shop where it stands and still operates today.

Janet and Gene's sons, Todd and Mike, grew up in the business and have studied and worked in the industry for most of their lives.
