K Auto Repair & Tire Center has some deep roots in Arlington Heights, the exceptional auto repair services we provide have been in place since 1974 when Neil and Joan Koebernick opened Dakota K Auto Repair & Tire Center (Originally, Dakota 76). Over the years we have grown and changed with the new technology in the automotive world. Now we are growing again!

Our history begins in 1974, when my parents, Neil and Joan Koebernick, founded the Dakota Union 76 service station.
The name Dakota came from North Dakota, the state where my father was born.
Over the years, mom and dad always believed in helping the neighbors that supported them, and invested back into the community on a regular basis.
They hired high school students, supported school programs to help enrich the students' lives, donated to local charities, and supported sports programs in the community.

After earning his degree in business marketing at Eastern Illinois University, Rick discovered that even auto repair enterprises need sound business plans and long term development ideas.
Rick is proud to work closely with the dedicated staff at K Auto Repair and enjoys meeting customers on a regular basis.
